I’m a multi-disciplinary artist based in southern California.
Taking photography and art courses in school grounded me in a lifelong appreciation of art. I spent untold hours sketching, painting, and sculpting.
Years ago, I was lucky enough to travel to Europe; an experience which offered me wonderful opportunities to use my trusty Fuji SLR. I was drawn mostly to landscapes, gothic cathedrals, and cemeteries. For quite some time, that’s all I photographed in Europe and America. About ten years ago, I began experimenting with digital due to the immediacy and flexibility it offered. At about that same time, I started photographing people. I now shoot mostly models, on a Sony A7RIV-A with Sony and Tamron lenses and a Canon EOS R5 with Canon lenses.
I feel strongly about individual agency, bodily autonomy, and consent. It’s important to me to create a safe, secure, judgement-free space where my models are:
Comfortable to express themselves freely
Confident they will be represented in the best possible way
Not subjected to pressure to do anything that makes them uncomfortable
I love working with people who are just as passionate and engaged as I am. I don’t see you as a client. I see you as a collaborator; and I’d love to create something awesome together.
